Made in C4D and Photoshop, hope you like it! I call it the Hell's Mist because of the colour.

To me i like 1St one more then 2Nd one.
The background match the text.The background is unclear if we use a clear text then it wont be nice.

The smudging is cut off, never a good idea. I would say use more then one layer of smudging, with a few different colours. With the effect you have here i would say use dark colours with a low saturation.
