NPC Trades
Here's a suggestion, since no one sells coins for $, but the $ are extremely easy to get where coins are difficult...
How about you be able to purchase coins for money? Points as well? The same way you are able to put pokemon on the market or insta-sell for 30%, you should be able to do NPC trading. How about that? I think the $1 million per coin is good, because a billion is difficult to obtain for people without too much, and should be worth 1,000 coins. Leaving it to Wailord to fuel the coin economy is... Well, unwise. That's why the US Government isn't doing well with money, because they don't have Wailords.

Coins are supposed to be hard to get,even if it's 1 million cash/coin.People can get money easily.So any conversion of money to coins won't work.

How so? Money in millions is easy to get, billions is more difficult, and two trillion is the maximum amount of money that someone could have, 4 trillion in bank and in hand. If you've been playing long enough that you're maxed out, then you probably have many thousands of coins. While a trillion would translate to a million coins, I find it hard to believe that anyone has that max. So, now do you see what I mean?
And coins are easy to get... The days you get lucky dipping on Warlord, or gambling in slots and such. Otherwise, no one has them, and no one will willingly give them away. That's why no one buys potions, because of the coins in addition to cash. Why should cash be so useless? I've got $580,750,000 and 250 coins, for reference.

Would $20M/coin be better? A trillion would be 5,000 coins... Or eh, maybe it's just a bad idea. Is the pokemon auction the best/only real way to get coins?

i agree and disagree. agree because i know how hard it is to get coins. disagree because people that have a lv 5k poke could exchange money every few minutes.
