Its starts you at level 5 i think,and you have the cap of 500. then once you pass 500 TL, your cap is your level until you hit 10k TL.then it stays that way until you hit 20k tl, then you have a cap of 12.5k. Once you hit 30k tl, you have a 15k trade cap. and i think thats all, correct me if im wrong :p

everyone who posted what chase posted is correct i say the same thing you start at five hundred after that your trainer level must be higher the the Pokemon wanted basically gl getting a lv one thousand or higher in trades

You start at 500. Then, when your level has surpassed 500, your trade cap will increase somewhat.
