As you can see, before you can put an item or use items on 1 of your pokes on team, you need to put them on the first slot on your team or make them your starters. I suggest that if you will click on you poke on team, there will be a a list if items that you have and you can use it already on your poke.

yes i have experienced it many times myself that i have to put a poke in first slot just to add an item and then put it back to its position. Hope ur idea gets implemented.
