I'm tired of watching you guys fail at pokemon rates. So I'm going to teach you my basic rules to rating ALL the things. (+1 for memes)

1. RARITY LIST. Use it. It's your BEST friend when it comes to rating something. Anything you trade for, look it up on rarity list to see how many there are.

2. Know availability. A pokemon being available (you can get it through In-Game means other than just trading) is worth fractionally less than if it can't be.

• Shinies - are obtainable. Never pay over 250 coins for these.
• Normal Legends - Tower pokes are worthless or next to it as they can be won. (Yes, all of them). Game Corner pokes are worth what the price is on them, but you will be lucky to trade them for that much ever. Shiny versions are worth about 20x the price, but, once again, good luck getting that unless its a 7.5k poke or higher.
• Map Pokemon/Swaps - always worthless. They are worth the level and nothing more.

3. Know where the pokemon are. If you are interested in a poke (particularly more valuable ones), go through the rankings and search for your poke. You can figure out where each copy of that poke is. You can easily figure out ABOUT how many are in play. (Active accounts being accessed on a frequent basis and participating in the community)
* A basic rule of thumb here is about 70% of all pokemon are not obtainable, be them hoarded and nft or in inactive accounts.

4. Know popularity and don't be afraid to use it. This DOESN'T mean to overrate something because its popular. It means to watch other people trade and try and obtain pokemon that are traded often. It's ok to get that dumb pokemon that everybody else likes if it means you can get more of the one you like. (Example would be Golden Rayquaza. It rates way more than its rarity demands because of its popularity.)

5. Hoards are always easy to trade. Of just about any poke. (A hoard is a group of at least 10+ of the same pokemon) People like the idea of holding onto a large portion of that poke in case they jump in value later. Play that to your advantage, and make hoards of things you like.
*THE MORE HOARDED POKES THERE ARE, THE HIGHER THE VALUE THEY RISE. That's because people are taking them out of play (inactive)

6. Learn the people you deal with and what they like/dislike. If you have something that people don't seem to want, there always SOMEBODY who does want it. (I'm a great example of this. I have Cursed Sneasels out the wazoo and I'll overpay you for them)


Side Notes - betting is bad. Control yourself. If you get lucky, stop betting and go buy something good with it. That's a much better way to be good at the game than losing it all later.

Racing Pokemon - don't race unless you specifically make a pokemon of very high level to snatch other people who race level 5 pokes. NEVER PLACE A BET. Only accept them.


Now, some common terms to help you get situated into this game. Many of these are common knowledge, others may be Creed specific, but you will see these around all the time.

NFT - NOT FOR TRADE
LF - Looking For
WTS/WTB - Want to sell, Want to buy
Rarity - how many of a poke there are in game as a total.
Availability - how many of a specific pokemon are in play.
In Play - all pokemon in actively used accounts of participating members.
Set - A group of a single pokemon featuring every available gender type in the game. A set of Rainbow Teddiursa would be:
Rainbow Teddi Male
Rainbow Teddi Female
Rainbow Teddi UG

UG - Un-gendered. Mistake in creation of legend. They have no male or female gender. These USUALLY rate higher than male/female counterparts.
