Having the ability to be a graphics designer can really help you out in that department, wanting to "help out all the players" and "knowing a lot of things here" isn't going to cut it.

I've been working with adobe dream weaver and photoshop cs4+5 for 4+ years, including game designing and coding. Working days on in to make an enjoyable game for others is satisfying, but it surely is time consuming and sometimes makes you go insane.

Giving a heads up, if your spending hours of your time checking on forums and getting up your reps just for the hope of becoming a part of staff, your probably not going to be.

It takes skills to pay the bills.

FnWinner - What languages do you code in? Can you point me out to some good Java and Python/Pygame ebooks for game development?
and to aziz56 - You wont be staff. If that's what you were thinking of.

@Zehel I code in C, Java sometimes (I work with text based games) C++ and now most of the time I code in Objective-C usually for MacOs, due to apps becoming a quick money maker now more than ever.

Here's a few websites that have some free ebooks I used, I can't find most of the websites I used a few years ago, but these new ones should wrap up the basics, middles, and leave you with the hard parts.

It's good you want to start with python or learn it now, I started off with just the knowledge of bbcode and HTML and its done wonders in game making.

I wanted to be a staff but now i am sad cause of this sentence that FnWinner told

So i guess i can't become staff. I don't know anything about making sigs and sprites.
I think bobbond might become a staff cause he is an awesome maker of sprites. He can make all types of them.

@Ranstormer, when I put quotation marks I was referring to people who act like know it alls, the truth is we don't know exactly what it takes to be staff, but just continue to help players and see what your good deeds bring you.

I be learning C sharp and Python/pygame together. Truth is i have been with python quite a while now. I have built search engines, booters, some programs etc etc But those were only with guidance
I want to make something from scratch. Maybe im not cut out to be a programmer but still.

It took a lot to be staff. It isn't very easy. One thing I did to help was to find errors (Check the news in June 2011 about 5th gen pokemon, sorry to bother you if I am a showoff).

Harmony - FnWinner is right in a way. Creed was in a crisis of spriters about one a half year ago. Even more Da Man was looking for a javascript designer (according to his signature). Javascript ofcourse is replaced by HTML5/KendoUI nowadays >.> but thats a different story.
Having skills is a bonus. Nakaymoi/ReMiXeD/nightmares18 were coders/programmers iirc.

On the contrary most people want to become staff because they would get custom mod pokes. I am not saying that about everyone.

Being all optimistic doesnt allways help. You need to look @ things from a negative perspective sometimes in order to improve yourself.
