My first siggy

I am a spriter, but I wanted to learn how to make siggys.

This is my first siggy using GIMP. I know it is bland and tasteless, but I want to know what you guys think! Leave a rating and advice if you have any!

That's Good for a first time.

Try using a more colorful background.
then Search up w.e Render you Want. (Render is the image, so just search up Zekrom Render or w.e)
and Then Just try overlay the image with the background and see how it looks.
Also, check some youtube tips on how to do better :P

^ Agreed. It's good for first time. But you should add some more colors, and work with gradients. C4ds are good if you understand how to use them. And as he said ^, youtube helps a lot. :P There's even good tutorials on deviantart, as well as brushes and what not, which are also helpful. But I don't recommend using to many brushes because it makes it look low quality. (Lol I've learned from mistakes) But good brushes to have are like sparkles and splatter brushes. Nice attempt for the first time, you done well.
Now you have to do is to learn how to put effects on, but you will slowly learn this just see peoples work and research any effects you can use.

No cuz the backround is blurry in #2 plus (ik i do it, but) putting the pokemon sprites from the game doesn't make it better.

Well duh it's blurry. I used Gaussian blur on it to make it look fog-like.

Yeah but then you have 2 sprites that aren't blurred so it looks wierd.

Never use sprites for banners.
Go into deviantart.com and search signature tutorials.
What you will be entering into is gfx, also, never resize sprites.
It kills the images
