Yes,the sprites can hardly be seen,little more brightness will make it better.

The scratch effect is over-done. I suggest add more life to it, instead of a solid color. [you must login to view images] Kinda like this maybe? :P I made this c:

The recolour is bad. it looks like there's just been a gradient overlay placed on them instead of actually recoloured.
The scratch layer should be below the sprite layer, cause it's caused it to go dark.
Some actual lighting effect would be nice

If the original Pokemon Sprite is small, Less scratch. If the original Pokemon Sprite is large, This just look perfect.
I think you should make it less transparent. It is bit hard to see the Pokemon Sprite.
