does evolving pokemon make them stronger, or is it just leveling them up that does it.

no not only leveling the up is not the key to get stronger the way is changing and knowing about it ie:you battle a pokemon u should know what are weak points for example i battle a flying pokemon my moves are saying its not effecting so change moves then battle again battling flying pokemon the hardest move on flying poke are bolt strike u can try it
