People looks at Clan Invite as to Go to your clan They have to click on 'Your Clan' and Clan Invite is below it so they may easily see it as in bracket beside it comes the number of clan invited them.. Then also Event is little right..

It would help since i seldoms notice the clan invites and the event should say "Clan ??? has invited You to join their clan!"

yeah there is no need another reminder on the event besides there no automatic clan applied both users must first agreed in each other
