i went to evolve a random pokemon and it came out to be called 'shiny'.

what has happened?

That ' Shiny ' is a glitch, not sure when it appears. There are some more in the game as far as I know.

so if i read correctly there are now some normal pokemon with the name 'shiny' infront but they are not??

yes that would b confusing..
but money/stamp misprints tend to be very vallueble to some perhaps these will to hihi

No I evolved I shiny kricktot and after evolution it just said shiny instead of shine kricketune
