I don't think you should be able to get coins. But I guess "Battle Points" can be easily awarded for this, although they do not serve much purpose at the moment.

i liked the idea up to the coins part, if you want coins just donate or sell pokemon or sell items in item market. The elite four could be way too easy to defeat if they had a set level. What about if for first generation level is 2x your highest level pokemon. 2nd gen. is 3x. 3rd is 4x and so on.
