How about the devil inside? I literally watched parts of it hiding behind my ex's back XD can't really stand some of the scenes in the movie XD and, paranormal activity is also great, the first one got me by surprise, the second, I just watched for the continuation of the story.

Paranormal activity was epic when I watched it, since I was so afraid of horror films, and I only watched it because my classmates decided to watch it. I actually stayed in my parent's bedroom for a month or two... O_o It's hard to not believe in films that are made like that.

Mama, The Ring, Blair Witch Project, the Child's Play series. For less horror and more action, try Cloverfield?
