I like this idea because i want my best pokemon at my level but its like a few hundred levels below. I also see how this would be a bad idea. 8/10 for creativity.

I actually like this idea because what if like you said you wanted your trainer level the same as your strongest poke but then again what of you wanted to increase your trainer level and don't know how to unattach the item for it??
