I think the idea is fair, but that you should have your old username available for others to see, too. Like for example, it would say "(previously OldUsername)" under your new name on your forum posts or profile.

Maybe have the first name change be free, but charge for others after.

I like it but I don't know how and what if some one scans you they can change there username and pretend they don't know you. You would need there id#.

But I guess it would be a nice idea if the ID# was included. That way it would be better to keep track of the player.
