I know how the money works but what do you use coins for?.

the coins are worth much more then money everyone will accept coins for anything mostly you can bet with them or do minigames
|

Coins are used for a variety of things on creed. You can buy pokemon, or even colored pokes, buy items even rare ones, play mini games, and buy your own clan. Coins are much more valued than money, you can buy coins by donating to the site as well.

What are clored pokemons? Are they shiny or what. I saw a rainbow one in the aution thing.
