Play games like lucky dip, 50/50, fishing contest, daily raffle, and hitdown. You can join a clan an train to swap clan credits for coins. You can also sell pokemon at the auction.

the lucky dip is a good source for free coins, daily raffle is cool too but you gotta be lucky :p same with the 50/50 bets, which is really risky though. i suggest training and then going to 'Your Clan', click on 'Clan Rewards' and then trade in your clan credits for coins :D

One of the best ways would have to be either hitdown or growing berries. You have to live in Abandoned House or higher, which costs coins, but you move in, grow berries, and soon you can move up :)

As for hitdown, once you get the timing right, you can make 250 coins every three hours when you win. Lots of people forget about berry growing though, each one's worth 10 coins, and it's not a bad amount at all for what you can sell. Pecha berries sell best, Sitrus berries are somewhat un-needed.
