I'd think it should work like fishing, you buy a selection of pickaxes, with the cheapest being the least effective and earning you the lowest chance of mining, and the best multiplying it by, say, 5.

Clicking as fast as possible would probably be 30 times per minute, so chances could be something like
Coin: 1 in 10 (per click) that way you have a high chance of getting at least one coin per minute. But not many people will sit there mining for 45 minutes in hopes of getting 50 coins, so that's why with a diamond pickaxe or whatever chances would be 1/2 to 1/4.

and more valuable items go up from there. Lol GlitterDialga and similar be literally 1 in 1,000,000. When you don't want to train, you could mine, and maybe we'd come across a valuable poke to trade for training.

Your idea gave me ideas... Maybe you could also have a super-mine that costs 5 coins per mine attempt but give you higher chances of something good per mine but still expect to spend 800 coins. Heh, great idea, hope you like this spinoff.

How about giving points a use in the mining system be cause at the moment with the VIP not up there's not that much to do with them plus it'll get players doing the battle tent and not just everyone training all the time:-

You could start off with a default pickaxe and you have the option to upgrade to better axes for "X" amount of points + a few coins each time.

I like the idea of adding a mining system to the site, since this is my first time about hearing an option like that, it gives a new feel of excitement which can make me want to go online more often. I also like the suggestions of receiving coins when mining, although not too much, for me about 5-20 coins is enough, anything higher than that feels like it's too much... It's just my opinion though.

I agree with this idea. Maybe as you upgrade you are allowed to retrieve better and more valuable items. I don't know maybe even incorporating fossils (rare thing) in some way. And maybe reviving them in the lab with a certain amount of points/coins. Or be able to sell these fossils...there are a lot of options actually.

rates would fall down a ton, mabye if you made it each try was a coin.. that wouldn't be that bad but..
