Okay,so the first step to success: Getting colored pokemon.You can get these in the Auction House,or a contest in your clan,chat,or forums.

Once you have your pokemon,there are 3 things you can do with it to get coins:
1.Put it on auction,usually striking up a whopping 1k coins or more!
2.Sell it on chat or forums,or offer it to people with alot of coins.
3.Save it and get more and sell it as a group,usually striking up alot.

Earning Coins Using Clans
The #1 reason people go to clans is because of the rewards system,it's contests,and many other benefits.

The clans' rewards system is good for training your pokemon and getting rich.For every 10,000,000 clan credits you get,you get 10 coins.Despite the number,this is very easy.Another thing,is sometimes clans have contests.The contests can sometimes have coin rewards or colored pokemon rewards.There are multiple ways to win,but usually it's to train.That can also get you clan credits,which you can use to get coins.

Earning Coins On The Edge Gambling
Ok,this is probabbly one of those last resorts,but it can get you coins if you're lucky.

The way the game works is that there are bets.There are 3 types of bets,but the coin part is the one we're focused on at the moment.You can only accept bets that are your coin amount or lower,so if there are too high bets there,you can make your own.If you win you get the coins.If you lose,you lose some coins.In the rock,paper,scissors bet,there is also a tie,where you get your coins back,and you gain no coins,and neither does the other player.

Earning Coins Using 'Services'
This is easier if you have high leveled pokemon,or pokemon with fly or toxic.It's also easier if you have artistic internet skills.

Okay,so if you have at least maybe a 5k or a pokemon with toxic or maybe fly,you can probably start a training business.You can put your own rates,and maybe how fast,some discounts,things to attract customers.Once you finish the training job,you get profit.Doing alot means more profit.The stronger and better the pokemon,the more coins you'll make.

Another way is to set up an art shop.Usually when you make digital art,alot of people want it.Depending on what type of things you make depends on the profit you'll make.

Here's the grand finale,forum credits.The more you post,the more forum credits you get,which you can redeem for coins.Now I'm not saying to go spamming.The best way to approach this is to just stay on one thread you can keep posting on with a conversation.

Other Ways To Earn Coins
From ash20111: The games corner is where you can earn lots of coins from playing mini-games.Achievements sometimes give you coins for completing certain things.Selling items in the item market can get you quite alot of coins as well.In the game,there is this donations thing,where you pay money,and they give you coins.

This is from complanboy and I have no credit for these really,this is where I'll put all the others I sorta forgot.

1. promos-you can buy promo, and once it is over, sell it for more coins,or you can exchange them for older promo, and sell them.If you get the current one,you can sell it after it is over,and you can get lots of extra coins for it.

2. berries- you can buy an abandoned house, or another building and buy a pecha berry. then you grow it, and then sell for 25-30 coins. a good way to earn some coins everyday.

3. lab- you can get coins by doing lab tasks, where you have to catch and donate some pokemon and get coins. takes time, but might help out.
