would be a good idea if everyone has the same number of tries, though it is a luck game.
But making it more challenging would make you cross your fingers for a high-valued poke knowing your chances are limited. That, is the fun of luck games. Rating it 8/10

i think this is a good idea and a bad idea, if you have as many times you can do it everyone can do it, its just who spends more time on it. its still a valid point though. :)

if there was a limit on how many time you could fish then i dont as many people would try it. its hard enough to get a high score(28k+) anyways

The idea is great and all but this just promotes using mass accounts a day to try and get in top 3. It only takes 1 to ruin it for everyone. Sounds like just more work to staff to keep away people from trying to take advantage of a simple game of luck. But if you could buy with points perhaps or find "worms" in the maps as well (Free way and costly way to make it fair) Per "worm" you have a chance to catch a pokemon. I do dislike the fact once you go one more fishing time you lose your highest score. But overall the start of the idea has some flavor just needs little more kick to it

I really don't think there should be a limit to the amount of times you can unleash your rod in the fishing contest rod. This is because it is hard enough getting a high score but if there are a limited amount of times you can unleash your rod then that makes the fishing contest rod even more challenging.

Good idea, but instead of having a certain amount of tries a day, maybe like five an hour? They could also build up so at 11:59 you could press it sixty times. Haha
