I have not yet received these balls but I think they are used for catching the corresponding coloured pokemon.

click that link its the labortory scroll to the bottom and see those pokeballs and there amount and i will suggest dont waste coins on that you can trade coloured pokes from coins dont buy that pokeball its useless since it has been 1 year i never seen any rainbow/shadow pokeball and i guess i will never see
