"I don't care what happens to me, as long as you're safe..." I choke out.

Aero smiled sympathetically. "Just don't push yourself too hard... Okay?" She said gently. She sat there for a couple more seconds before standing up briskly. "All right! I'm gonna make some food! What would you like?" She said enthusiastically.

"Whatever you want to make," I whisper, it being the only way I could speak.

Aero frowned and nodded. She was hoping that Ace would suggest something, so then he would be happy with what she made. "Well, in that case, I'm going to make my specialty!" She took out a pan. "Pancakes!"

I didn't mind at all, but I was starting to regain my senses and... Paid was flowing through heavily.

Aero took out all the ingredients and began mixing them together, all the while keeping an eye on Ace.

When the pain rushed through, I flinched, but I could tolerate it.

Nate got up, brushed himself off and picked up the phone.. "Playing possum, one of my many, tricks, I know you are excited to test his new robot, so lets see just exactly how it fares against them."

"Give me time it's not ready." The man on the other side of the phone said.

"How exactly do you expect me to do that?"

"Why don't you fight them?"

"No, I don't feel like it. I'll send John Buck."

I sat up, and yelped in pain.

"Ace?" Aero said, putting down the whisk she was using and rushing over. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, just a few fractured bones," I say.

Aero smiled gently. "Let's hope that's it!" She said, trying to keep the conversation cheerful.

"Yeah, I hope so, but I swear something doesn't feel right..." I say.

"Don't worry about it!" Aero said, gently ruffling Ace's hair, making sure she didn't harm him. She went back into the kitchen and poured the batter onto the pan.

I shut my eyes, not really changing anything, I did have my only good eye burnt out. "Hey Aero, I'm Eyeless Ace." I say derpily.
