Alice got to the cafeteria first. She got a tray and got a salad, Apple and a gatorade. She paid for her lunch and sat alone at a table. Everyone near her was stopping and walking the other direction the moment they saw her.

Jack slowly eased himself from the crutches to the bench.

I went over to Alice, sitting beside her. "Hi there," I say.

Jason, James's older brother, sat down on the bench as well.

Alice jumped a little. "Jeez you scarred me!" Alice blushed and looked down. "Oh...sorry." She mummbled.

"Got a damaged main arterie?" Jason asked.

"You're James's older brother?" Jack said.

"I should be sorry," I say. "So Alice, what grade are you in?"

Alice looked away. "9th grade....I failed grade 8 once because of my father." Alice looked at him.

A few of the 'popular girls sashayed past Alice hoping to make her jelous but it failed exepct for one that sat next to Ace and was flirting with him. "Hey! Why are you hanging out with emo girl over there?" She asked. Alice tensed up and tried not to get up and punch the girl in the face so instead she took a bite of her red apple.

"F**k off b*tch, I'm your worst f**king nightmare. You think you're cool now, but in the future, your dumb ass will end up on the streets or selling your body to lonely men. So get the hell away from me," I say.

The girl looked at Ace with her mouth wide open. Alice had hers open too. She poked Ace's arm. "Umm thats the principals daughter ya know...." She whispered. The girl smiled. "I wont say anything if....You do something for me. Never talk that way again and people will start to respect you and Your friend okay? Good now im going to walk away and pretend that didn't happen." The girl walked away and waved. Alice almost hit her head on the table. "I think you just changed her from snoty to nice for a second there..." Alice mumbled.

"I don't like it when people flirt with me," I say, "especially since I have a huge crush on you."
*DID I JUST SAY THAT ALOUD?!* I think.

Alice dropped her spoon and froze. "W-what?" She asked.

"I think you heard." I said, noticing her obvious signs.
