"I'm not crazy." Rodney said and fired the rifle. "Where is the Sergeant?"

"I-I d-don't know!" She slumped her shoulders and tried to hide her face.

Rodney threw the rifle against the cavern wall in frustration.

"I-I'm sorry..." She stuttered.

Rodney slowly slid into the sitting position and put his head in his hands.

"W-what's wrong?" She asked, not daring to go closer to him.

"What's wrong?" He said. "The brotherhood is falling apart, and I'm the only one who gives a damn about keeping it together."

Sylph walked up a little closer to the man. "Is that Edward man the reason?" She asked.

"They all are the damn reason!" Rodney said. "There used to be a brotherhood, that kept together no matter what. Even when we went off to war, but it all fell apart when James's mental state went down. Edward's bright damn idea was to discharge him out of the military. And then it started, the resentment, the anger. Deadeye escaped from a mental institution for one reason, revenge. I tried to find Deadeye, even after John went to prison and Christina gave up I kept searching for him, and I found him, dead, I was five minutes too late."

"Everything happens for a reason... The fates probably have something in store for you..." She stated, bending some metal behind her back with telekinesis.

"Yeah, they do." Rodney said. "Cancer is what was in store for me, I got three months to live, and I plan to make every minute worth it."

Sylph nodded. She used telekinesis to shove the twisted chunk of metal into the man's stomach. "Interesting."

Rodney coughed up blood, but smiled. "I knew I couldn't trust ya quick as look at ya. You were that girl from the bar."

Sylph nodded. "Yeah.... I'm sorry, I really didn't want to do that. But I promised Ed that I would protect him, and I stick to my promises." She walked over to him and knelt before him. "But, I thought I'd give you this..." She dropped a soul dew into his lap.

"What is that?" Rodney said
