Fliqpy finally got out of the smoke, coughing, and by that time he saw that the Migs already vanished.

Matt was saying numbers into the radio

Fliqpy wasn't paying attention to the muttered numbers. It was supposed to be safe, though it was probably no big secret that this was a Son of Guns campsite.

"Okay, they're moving us to a base in Hawaii." Matt said

"Alright. When will they be picking us up?"

"In an hour, we need to hold out, it's likely the Migs will roll back around." Matt said

"Well, in that case, I do have a loaded rifle, should the Migs decide to drop soldiers here."

"Hopefully they are out of bombs, but they might use missiles." Matt said

Fliqpy thought of the heat-seeking missiles, and hoped that they wouldn't use those.

The noise of the Migs indicated that they were turning around

Fliqpy readied the rifle.

The Migs flew by, firing their machine guns

Fliqpy tried to aim at one of the pilots, but the plane's speed was making it difficult to focus.

The Migs picked up speed and flew off again

He attempted to fire a bullet at the growingly distant plane, but it was in vain as it missed by a long shot.
