A Guide to Completing the Pokedex & Breeding

Attempting to complete the Pokedex can be time consuming, but very rewarding. You will need to collect as many Pokemon as you can. You can obtain Pokemon from places like Maps, Random Swap/Specific Swap, Promo Center, Games Corner and Breeding.

When submitting Pokemon you will need to make sure that you are the Original Trainer, have one of the variants in game (Normal, Cursed, Shadow, Ancient etc) and have the current existing Pokemon in your box. If you have evolved the Pokemon that you own, and have not submitted its pre-evolution, you can only submit the entry for the current evolved form and not its pre-evolutions, therefore before evolving a Pokemon, make sure you've logged the entry into your Pokedex.

To submit Pokemon, head to the Pokedex then search for the Pokemon you wish to submit. Or, head to your Pokemon Box, search for the Pokemon and click on it. A new page will open which you can directly open the Pokedex page from there, which saves a little bit of time.

A good chunk of the Pokemon you can submit to the Pokedex can be found in Maps. You can read the Map Guide that was linked at the very top of this guide to figure out which Pokemon you need.

Another way to obtain dex entries is via Breeding. You can start breeding Pokemon once you get a total of 345 Pokedex entries. To locate the Daycare head to Your Town > Day Care - Breeding. You can use any Pokemon to breed, just as long as they arent a Legendary, Mythical or belong to the "Undiscovered" egg group, a baby Pokemon (Pichu, Riolu etc) and Genderless (G). Breeding a Pokemon will take around 24 hours to complete. After the 24 hours is up, you will then receive a Pokemon that matches whatever female Pokemon you used and will always have your OT (Original Trainer).

Example: if you breed a RainbowChatot M and Zubat F, you will receive a Zubat.

Just be aware using a coloured Pokemon like Rainbow, Cursed etc you will not receive a coloured Pokemon while breeding. You do however have a small chance to receive a Shiny Pokemon while breeding. You can increase your odds of obtaining a shiny if you have a Shiny Charm equipped.

If you wish to obtain more starters, you will need to breed them. You can find starters like Treeko, Fennekin on the maps, however, you will need to breed to get the others. You can borrow other starter Pokemon from other Players and use those to obtain the starters. If you wish to obtain Legends and Mythical Pokemon, you can purchase them from the Games Corner for coins, however Pokemon like Regice and ShinyCelebi can be found on the maps.

Bonus Rewards: Once you get enough Pokedex entries you will unlock some neat perks and rewards.

Reaching a total of 345 dex entries will reward you with the ability to start Breeding.

Reaching a total of 400 dex entries will reward you with the "Pokedex Brain" userbar.

Reaching a total of 700 dex entries will reward you with the "Pokedex God" userbar.

To unlock these userbars head to the Forums > Userbars. Scroll down until you locate these userbars and click on "Unlock", once you have done that you now have the option to display them. You can only have one secondary userbar displayed at anytime.

A beginners guide to gaining experience points

While most forms of battling will help level your Pokemon up, some are better than others. There are multiple NPC trainers to choose to battle and you can even battle other Players teams.

When it comes to gaining experience, we've categorized everything into different levels of difficulty. Each level depends on the progress you’ve made so far, including factors like your team and the number of badges you own. These categories are labeled as 'beginner,' 'intermediate,' and 'end game,' with 'end game' being the most challenging. It should only be attempted if you have a reasonably strong team, however, it can be attempted at anytime.

Beginners: As a new player, one of your main goals will be to gain levels in order to challenge gyms and earn badges. Earning badges grants you access to more features of the game, such as the Promo Center and Messages.

The recommended NPC's to battle are Swimmer Richard and Riddle Master. These NPC's are the easiest as they can be fainted within 1 - 2 moves. The recommended moveset would be a hard-hitting Electric type move like Bolt Strike. These 2 trainers will offer you good exp return whilst you’re a low level, with very limited difficulty. It's also good to note that NPC Swimmer Richard’s Prinplup will be 2x of your highest level Pokemon, so this will increase exp yield at the end of the battle, while Riddle Master will be the same level as your highest level Pokemon.

This method is recommended to be used if you are yet to complete your Gym Badges. All you will need to do is train your team to the "Max Level" requirement for each gym.

Intermediate: Although still not the best experience rates the game has to offer, these trainers will require a little more skill. The NPC's that fall into the "intermediate" category are: Bird Tamer and Dragon Tamer. Recommended move set is either a strong Electric/Ice Type move like Bolt Strike or Blizzard for Bird Tamer and a strong Ice type move like Blizzard for Dragon Tamer.

Just like the beginner NPC's, the Intermediate NPC's are more of a challenge to defeat. The NPC's are 2x and 3x higher than your strongest Pokemon, thus giving more exp per defeated Pokemon. It might take a few times for RNG to be on your side to defeat each Pokemon.

Zapmolcuno: Zapmolcuno is one of the hardest NPC's to defeat due to it's moveset which makes any team nearly useless. It's recommended to have a team full of Ghost and Ground type Pokemon like Golurk and Palossand. it's also essential to have your team know the moves Toxic, Bolt Strike, Blizzard or Fly. If any of your Pokemon don't have Fly, you can ask someone in the community if they can teach your Pokemon Fly.

To purchase Toxic you will need to purchase TM06 from the Dept. Store. You can purchase it for 4,500 coins and $75,000,000. To have your Pokemon learn Toxic, head over to "Your Pokemon" > "Change Moves" > you will then see a category labelled Pokemon TMs. Click on "Use Item".

If you can't afford Toxic, you can use other moves like Sludge and Poison Sting which have a small chance to Poison the opponents Pokemon.

Upon successfully defeating zapmolcuno, the Pokemon that deals the final blow will have all of their moves replaced with Fly. All moves except TM moves will be replaced.

Dark Alley: When entering "Your Home", under the "The Streets" section, there will be a place called "Dark Alley". It is here where you can gain the best xp method available in the game. Before having the chance to battle the Mysterious Trainer, you will need to have obtained all 48 Badges.

Just like zapmolcuno, it's recommended to have a team with Ghost and Ground type Pokemon. However, the moveset you need will be slightly different. While Toxic and Fly is Best in Slot (BiS), Toxic and Megahorn is still a viable moveset to have. All of the Mews you battle with be 10x your strongest level Pokemon, making this NPC the most difficult to defeat.

All you need to do is defeat the first Mew and then restart the battle, however, if you think you can do it, try and defeat all 6 Mews. If you manage to do that successfully, you will receive the "Mew Ribbon" and you will also receive a "Mew Tamer" userbar for you to display on your profile. You can defeat the Mysterious Trainer as many times as you wish, however, you will only receive a Ribbon each time.

Level Transfer

Using the Level Transfer feature is one way for you to gain exp. While you aren't actively gaining exp, this is a great way to trade for exp that you purchase and/or trade for. You can also use Level transfer for training jobs.

Example: if Trainer A wants his Mewtwo to gain a million EXP (for the prize of his GoldenLugia), then he can ask Trainer B for a Jirachi with a million EXP. Trainer B buys a Jirachi from the Games Corner and trains a million EXP on it. Then Trainer B creates a trade with his million EXP Jirachi for Trainer A's GoldenLugia (the prize). This is done in one trade. Trainer A can then transfer the EXP from the Jirachi to his Mewtwo. Trainer A can even distribute the transferred EXP across several Pokemon or downgrade it to multiple Jirachis. Trainer B could also use a Jirachi he prepared/trained earlier so Trainer A doesn't have to wait. This also allows trainers to train Jirachis without training jobs.

It is worth to note that only normal Jirachi's can be used to transfer exp, Shiny, Shadow or even Cursed Jirachi's can not be used. You can also transfer exp between normal Jirachi's as well.

Loaning

Loaning a Pokemon higher than your own can be an effective way to gain yourself some boosted xp. However, when you loan a Pokemon from these Players, they will often ask for a percentage of the exp back in return.

Example: Trainer A loans his Pokemon out to Players, however he wants 10% of the total amount of exp you gain. So, if you train 100b exp, you will need to transfer 100m exp from the Jirachi to another Jirachi, then you will send the Jirachi with the 10% to Trainer A. This is where you can utilize the Level Transfer to make it easy for you.

If you have a high enough level, you can also loan your own Pokemon out as well and request a certain percentage of exp in return.

Lucky Eggs

[you must login to view images]

Using Lucky Eggs is a nice way to boost your exp gain by 25% after each battle. There are currently 2 types of Lucky Eggs: Lucky Egg (30) and Lucky Egg (60) which has a timer of 30 and 60 minutes respectively.

You can purchase the Lucky Egg (30) from the Dept. Store for $5,000,000 and 2,000 coins. You can also purchase the Lucky Egg (60) from the Dept. Store for $10,000,000 and 3,000 coins.

When using a Lucky Egg, you need to be very careful as it is easy to mess it up and if that happens, your egg will be wasted for the whole duration. When you go to use your Egg, just be aware that it only affects the Pokemon in the first slot and the first slot only, so don't go switching your Pokemon around once you use the Egg. Make sure to plan ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below contains a list of frequently asked questions by new and veteran players alike. If you have a question that isn't here, you can check out the other FAQ.

This list will be updated periodically

Q: What's the most effective way to earn all 48 Gym Badges?
A: It's recommended to purchase a Jirachi from the Games Corner for 150 coins, then put exp on it. Once you get enough exp, you can use the level transfer to evenly distribute exp across your team. Just make sure you don't go past the maximum level requirement for each gym. Alternatively, you can ask some players if they have a team to loan you so you can defeat the gyms.

Q: How does the Promo schedule work?
A: Promos are usually last 1 week. However, there is a special promo at the end of every month which is more expensive than the other promos during the month.

Q: The Promo timer has ended, when will it change?
A: Once the promo timer has ended, the promo will randomly change within the next 24 hours.

Q: How will I know a trade is fair?
A: Generally you won't know unless you check either the Rate List on the forums or in the Discord. Just remember that the rates should be used as a guide.

Q: I ended up being one of the lucky few and snatched the Promo, how much does it rate?
A: First of all, Congratulations! It isn't easy being able to be on of the snatchers. If you do manage to obtain a special gendered promo, it is worth 2x the rate, while a Level 4 is rated 3x the rate. Most promos rate double the price of what you purchase them for from the Promo Center

Q: I see some players like Big Mac with a fancy userbar, how do I get myself one of those?
A:You can unlock most userbars by doing a few things in the Creed. To change your userbar you can either go to your Preferences and at the top it will tell you hwere you can change it. You can also change it via the Forums, just look at the top for the section that says "Userbars". To check the requirements just hover over the "Unlock" section and a small pop up will appear telling you want you need to do.
