It would be interesting to add pets like cats, dogs, birds, ornamental fish, etc. to the gift list as an easter egg/joke referencing the fact that the Pokémon franchise showed or mentioned normal animals in its early days, whether appearing in anime episodes, in the manga, on TCG cards, or in the famous Pokédex entries in the first generations.

Obviously, these are gifts like Rolex (not for use as Pokémon, just gifts), and the pets could be the most expensive gifts, with prices varying between them (perhaps a goldfish could be the most expensive); it would also be interesting to be able to give them nicknames.
