Go to ' Your Pokemon ' on the left side, then click [Evolve Pokemon]. It has to be in your first slot if you want to evolve it.

is there a way to evolve a pokemon that isn't in the first slot of your party? that'd be really helpful....

Go to ''your pokemon'' after that, put the pokemon in your First slot and evolve it....
