Matt, what if they get given freebies or win contests? Then what? They cannot keep making profitable trades forever. My point is that they need to be able to make themselves rich rather than just feasting on other peoples' wealth.

Some players are happy with just a little. And it might motivate them more, to train for example. I know, in a long time period it's recommended to loan lvl 10k's, and train with them. But Contests are still not bad.

Matt, we cannot contest every pokemon in banned accounts, that's just corrupt and simply should not happen. They might be okay with a little, maybe a member of staff should take the big pokes from l33t and trade em for smaller things to give smaller things to more newbies.

I know, I never said to contest them all xD. Well imo they should start doing contests in the first place, with the pokemon that are already in l33t. Then it's another question to contest banned pokemon. Da Man has a lot to do anyways, I doubt he will take banned pokemon into his account in further future. So ok, let's stay away from banned pokemon for now, and see how it developes, IF they start to contest away stuff from l33t.

They should do contests for every 25k members we get.

pichu64, that's why the "block" preference was made, and I don't think it takes much effort deleting a trade. I delete about 5-10 trades a day and that's no bother to me. But thanks for the comment. c:

I would have to agree as when people join they get confused and often quit due to not understanding the concept of the game. What would also be helpful is a small tutorial with arrows and flash that would appear once you finish that first battle when you sign up. Given a small walk through of almost all features. Most likely people will read and follow through than being led to a forum post that has plain text all over it. Teaching them how to change their pokemon moves and how to battle NPC's and noticed to the Game Corner and places where they can benefit from. Maybe that would get them more into the game?
Giving starter money would also be helpful. I mean there is tons of money in the game, starter money isn't going to hurt the economy or anything. People try and catch more pokemon on maps but find it difficult not wanting to train their starter first to get some. So just some starter poke-balls and some money shouldn't hurt anything.
30 coins starting out is terrible and not much you can really do with it starting out. Perhaps up it to 100? Giving much more would only increase people making mass accounts just for the profit of getting those coins.
Also, there needs to be more benefits in the game or a way to get things that could make a difference to perhaps new people! Example, what if at midnight a random number is generated example 150. Once the 150th person logs in after midnight they win a certain amount of coins. Possibly between 100-500? This wouldn't count if you logged in and out in and out. It was per user that logged in once at least would count. Just some what of opinions mixed with ideas. But you are right, newbies do have a very big disadvantage in this game.

Giving Freebies to newly registered players in any way only causes many people to create countless accounts =/

Thank you Mountain Dew, yes I do agree that some people may abuse that but it's only going to be a small amount, perhaps 1,000,000 in cash and around 50-100 in coins. I guess that's what moderators are for. c:

To be honest it's not so much the fact they can't get richer it's that they don't try and expect it to be given.
You have to have the desire to get train and progress to become wealthier you can't expect to sit there and sign in one day
and be rich all of a sudden it takes time and effort.

We don't contest every Pokemon that's banned: E.g. Lucian and more...
We contest a few perm banned/frozen accounts Pokemon to spread out a few more Pokemon.
And the contests aren't that much regular.

I have agree with Fireheart666, When I first joined in August 2010 I didn't have the desired to trains because the site was majorly slow, so i didn't come on the site much, I will come on one or twice a day check to see if an new promo out, what I did to get the promos was to donated to site so I have enough coins to gets them, but sometimes in October of last year, I saw Da Man or one of the mods posts saying the site was re-coded and the site started to goes faster, so I quit the other game I was playing and and started to become full blooded trainer on Creed, and work my way up on the ranks all the ways up to where I'm now.


But I do agree some new player should get help, the ones that making the effort in the game, I might starts training some maps pokemon to 3k and gives them away to new player that making a effort, but the one that just want to sit on their fingers and do nothing but begs for coins/pokemons/items will not gets anything from me, I'm sorry but that how I rolled :P
